The support most coaches never get.

Coaches are expected to manage increasingly complex environments — mixed ability groups, diverse learning needs, parent pressure, and player drop-off — with very little structured support. FCA exists to change that.

Why structured coach support changes everything

Without structured development, coaches plateau. They rely on instinct rather than informed practice. They struggle with the complexity of mixed-ability groups, spelform transitions, and communication with players and parents. They burn out not because the work is too hard but because they're doing it alone.

FCA provides the tools, clarity, and ongoing support that helps coaches grow — not just in a single workshop, but over time.

Who we work with

Profile 01

Grassroots & Youth Coaches

Leading mixed-ability groups with limited time and resources. Need practical tools they can use immediately — not theory that doesn't translate to real sessions.

Profile 02

Performance-oriented Coaches

Want deeper understanding of coaching pedagogy, tactical frameworks, and developmental consistency across multiple teams and age groups.

Profile 03

Aspiring Coaches

Building their foundations. Need mentorship, structured feedback, and a clear pathway for translating knowledge into confident practice on the pitch.

How we develop coaches

Four interconnected ways to support coach development — from a single session to a long-term programme.

01

Education

Coach Education Sessions & Workshops

Practical, research-informed education sessions delivered in formats that work for your club or group. Topics include communication and feedback, training methodology, player development, spelform transitions, coaching pedagogy, and handling diverse player needs.

Available as standalone sessions, workshop series, or integrated into a club-wide development programme structured around the LEAD Model.

02

On-pitch learning

Practical Pitch-Based Workshops

Collaborative on-pitch sessions focused on training structure, small-sided games, constraints-led approaches, game realism, coaching interventions, and creating effective decision-making environments. Learning that happens on the pitch, not just in a room.

03

Long-term support

Mentorship Programme

Personalised, ongoing support for coaches who want to develop beyond a single session. Includes 1:1 sessions, session design review, training follow-up, match analysis discussion, and long-term development planning — structured around the coach's own context and goals.

Proprietary framework

The LEAD Model — Development that actually sticks

Every FCA coach education programme is structured around the LEAD loop — Learn, Equip, Anchor, Develop. This ensures that what coaches learn in a session gets embedded into how they actually coach, not just remembered for a week and forgotten.

Our approach

Our methodology combines research-informed content with practical application. Every education session, workshop, and mentorship interaction is designed to help coaches understand their players, plan effective sessions, and create training environments that build confidence, decision-making, and long-term motivation.

Pedagogy comes first — we focus on how players learn, not just what coaches teach. Tools are context-adapted to the coach's team, age group, and real environment. Activities reflect match situations and encourage intelligent decisions. Communication methods reduce frustration and build understanding. Everything is designed for sustainable coaching — not short-term fixes.

AFDN

International Coach Development Project

Digital education sessions for coaches across Africa on periodisation, tactical principles, goalkeeper methodology, and coaching pedagogy.

"The strength of the programme was the combination of theory, practical sessions, and ongoing follow-up. Coaches felt supported rather than evaluated, and the mentorship element helped translate ideas into better sessions for the players."

Johan Ström

Sollentuna FK

"What made the biggest difference was how clearly the education connected spelform principles to our everyday reality. Coaches didn't just understand what we wanted — they understood why and how it should look in training."

Sandra Ericsson

Värmdö IF

"The content reflected the challenges we actually face as coaches, and the tools were easy to apply straight away. It genuinely changed how I plan and communicate with my team."

Tommy Hansen

Lerums IS

"The balance between theory and practical application made the content useful regardless of resources, and it helped many of us rethink how we structure training and player development."
