Selected Projects and Outcomes

Club development & Coach Education - Värmdö IF

Delivered a structured coach education programme for Värmdö IF, supporting coaches being introduced to new spelforms (3v3-7v7) through a combination of theoretical, digital, and practical sessions.

The education focused on player development principles, tactical and technical considerations within each spelform, and coaching pedagogy to support coaches in translating theory into everyday training environments.

Outcomes

  • Increased coach understanding of player development within new spelforms

  • Clearer connection between tactical and technical priorities at different ages

  • Improved coach confidence in planning and delivering sessions aligned with the club’s direction

  • Stronger alignment between club guidelines and daily coaching practice

Coach Education & Communication Frameworks - Utbildningsveckan

Delivered multiple education sessions during Utbildningsveckan, collaborating with several clubs and RF-SISU to support coaches in areas such as communication, individual development plans (IUP), and practical training structure.

The focus was on providing coaches with tools they could apply immediately in their own environments, rather than abstract theory.

Outcomes

  • High coach engagement across multiple clubs

  • Improved understanding of communication and feedback structures

  • Practical tools implemented directly into weekly training environments

  • Increased alignment between club leadership intentions and everyday coaching practice

Coach Education and Menorship - Sollentuna FK

Delivered a comprehensive coach education programme for Sollentuna FK, supporting coaches across spelforms 3v3–11v11 through a combination of theoretical education and practical, pitch-based sessions.

The education covered spelform-specific principles, coaching pedagogy, and developmental considerations linked to child and youth development. This was complemented by ongoing träningsuppföljning and mentorship for coaches seeking deeper support in developing their teams.

Outcomes

  • Improved understanding of spelform-specific priorities from 3v3 through 11v11

  • Stronger connection between coaching pedagogy and players’ developmental needs

  • Increased coach confidence in planning, delivering, and evaluating training sessions

  • Meaningful progression for coaches engaged in mentorship and training follow-up

International Coach Education Programme – African Football Development Network

Delivered a series of digital education sessions for coaches across Africa as part of the African Football Development Network, designed by Football For Africa.

The programme covered topics including periodisation, goalkeeper methodology, tactical considerations in 11v11, and coaching pedagogy, with content adapted to diverse football environments and resource contexts across the continent. Each session was designed to balance clear theoretical frameworks with practical application, ensuring relevance regardless of local infrastructure or competition level.

Outcomes

  • Strong engagement from coaches across multiple African countries

  • Improved understanding of periodisation and tactical principles in 11v11 contexts

  • Increased awareness of goalkeeper development within a holistic team framework

  • Practical coaching concepts adapted successfully to varied local environments

  • "What made the biggest difference was how clearly the education connected spelform principles to our everyday reality. Coaches didn’t just understand what we wanted to do as a club, but why and how it should look in training. That alignment across teams is something we struggled to achieve before.

    —Sandra Ericsson, Värmdö IF

  • “The strength of the programme was the combination of theory, practical sessions, and ongoing follow-up. Coaches felt supported rather than evaluated, and the mentorship element helped translate ideas into better sessions for the players. You could see the impact across multiple age groups.”

    — Johan Ström, Sollentuna FK

  • “What stood out during Utbildningsveckan was how relevant everything felt. The content reflected the challenges we actually face as coaches, and the tools were easy to apply straight away. It wasn’t about inspiration for one evening — it genuinely changed how I plan and communicate with my team.”

    — Tommy Hansen, Lerums IS

  • “The sessions respected our different contexts while still providing clear frameworks we could work from. The balance between theory and practical application made the content useful regardless of resources, and it helped many of us rethink how we structure training and player development.”

    — Judith Macharia, AFDN
